Mansfield Town’s summer recruitment is rapidly becoming less about the team and more about the CEO, Carolyn Radford.
Their reveals and social media presence is increasingly becoming dominated by their glamorous CEO; this could be seen as a good thing or a bad thing.
On one hand, she’s certainly raising the profile of the club. We’re not talking about Exeter, Lincoln or Blackpool in this article which proves a point. In a world where there is no such thing as bad publicity, she’s certainly ensuring the spotlight remains on the Stags.
Then again, in an area that’s one of the most deprived in the Midlands, the show of opulence and wealth could be described as crass at best. Some Mansfield fans have begun to express their concern, whereas others are happy with the quality of signings.
After all, however you announce Nicky Maynard and Andy Cook, they’re solid captures in League Two.
There is another one coming soon as well, we know this because Carolyn has put out a post on her own social media profile telling fans. It’s another staged photo, watermarked by a professional company, of her in black and white on the phone.
Predictably, it’s brought a few rivals fans out in criticism.

Please no cringe signing video. Just picture him smiling, holding a shirt and we’ll all be happy.
