Speculation is rife that Plymouth Argyle are close to announcing the signing of talented Bury forward Danny Mayor after a fan posted a picture with the player inadvertently captured in the background as reported by Plymouth Live.
There has been no official confirmation that it is Mayor in the photo which appears to show the winger inside the club superstore at Home Park with a club official.
They were seen in the background as new Pilgrims’ boss Ryan Lowe, who managed the twenty-eight-year-old at promotion-winning Bury last season, poses for a picture with a fan.

Mayor excelled under Lowe last season scoring twelve goals in forty-three starts as the Shakers finished second in League Two amid financial turmoil at Gigg Lane.
Plymouth Live claims several clubs higher up the EFL are interested in Mayor but that Lowe’s good relationship with the winger has proved crucial and paid off for Argyle.
Mayor’s capture would be a real coup for Plymouth and go some way to replacing the creative element in their squad after the recent departures of Graham Carey and Ruben Lameiras.
The report suggests that Argyle are close to announcing the signing which will be the first of Lowe’s reign.
To sign one of the best players in the lower leagues will be a real coup for Argyle.
It may all be social media rumour but the fact the local paper is running the story and Bury fans have been on social media confirming the likeness points to the strong possibility the talented winger is heading to Devon.
