Bradford City have moved to bring in the powerful striker they need to spearhead their attack; Clayton Donaldson has arrived from Bolton Wanderers.
He’s just left the crisis club on a free transfer and makes Valley Parade his 13th career club. Once a leading scorer in the basement division, Donaldson has had a tough time of late with one goal in 31 league matches for the Trotters.
He began his career with Hull City and count Brentford, Birmingham and Crewe amongst his former clubs. In those three spells, he bagged 135 goals in just over 400 outings. However, since leaving Birmingham he’s bagged just seven goals in two seasons.
At 35-years-old the former Jamaica international may be past his best, but as a physical presence he has plenty to offer and in the right set up, he can surely be a success.
That’s not how Trotters fans see it. They’re perhaps a little battle-weary after relegation, administration and a protracted takeover, but they’ve found a little time to label Donaldson as a failure for them.
He struggled in the Championship, but this lot don’t think he’ll be any better for the Bantams two levels below.
Unless you are thinking of signing Chris Taylor, I guarantee you will never sign a worse player

The blokes disabled, unlucky Bradford.

Donaldson is 35 now. Which is 35 higher than the number he’ll score for you in L2.
PS seeing as you’re in the mood we’ve got a Championship experienced LB going. Lloyd Dyer, only 37, will be great for you 😁— Ian Firth🏴🏴🇮🇪🤝🇺🇦 (@WandererSmurf) June 14, 2019
Ahhahahah unlucky lads one of the worst players I’ve ever seen to play for Bolton

Didn’t rate him when we had him at Blades. He reminds me of a giraffe on an ice rink. Zero reactions too

he is about as good as an ashtray on a motorbike!!!!
What Bolton fans are forgetting is that we have seen Phil Parkinhoof make plenty of really good players look absolutely terrible over the years. So I’m quite happy with the signing & we’ll make our own mind up thanks.
