MK Dons have made recently released and highly rated former Manchester United youngster Regan Poole their fifth summer signing.
The twenty-year-old defender joins on a free transfer following his departure from Old Trafford, where he had been since the age of seventeen. MK have not disclosed the length of the contract.
Poole spent the second half of last season on loan at Newport County helping them to the League Two Playoff final at Wembley and the fifth round of the FA Cup with a string of impressive performances in the Exiles back-line.
Previously he enjoyed a season-long loan at Northampton Town, making twenty-two League One appearances for the Cobblers in 2017/18.
The current Wales U-21 captain started his career at Newport before moving to United in 2015 where he made one substitute appearance in the Europa league.
Many Mk Dons fans soon took to social media to express their delight at the capture, with some praising manager Paul Tisdale for persuading the promising and talented youngster to join the newly promoted League One club.
Here is a selection of their responses on Twitter.
