Northampton have signed Luton Town midfielder Alan McCormack on a one-year deal.
McCormack will officially become a Cobbler on 1 July after the expiration of his current deal with Luton.
The no-nonsense midfielder becomes the Cobblers seventh signing of a busy summer so far, having helped Luton Town to back to back promotions from League Two to the Championship.
The experienced campaigner has made four hundred and five career EFL appearances and counts Brentford, Charlton and Swindon amongst his former clubs.
The experienced thirty-five-year-old won promotions at Brentford and Swindon where he took both clubs player of the season awards. He was also named in the League One team of the year in 2014.
McCormack is obviously held in high esteem at Kenilworth Road with many Hatters fans immediately taking to social media to inform Cobblers fans they had signed an outstanding player.
His winning mentality will be a huge asset to Kieth Curle’s squad, something not lost on Luton fans with many tipping the Cobblers for great things next season.
Here is a selection of their responses on Twitter.
