AFC Wimbledon took a small step towards League One survival last night, courtesy of Steve Seddon’s late equaliser away at Luton.
The league leaders dominated the game, getting 21 shots on goals, ten of which were on target. The only stat that really matters is goals socred though and after 90 minutes plus stoppage time, that read two a piece.
It left Wimbledon in the drop zone, but lifted them above ailing Scunthorpe and into 21st, tantalisingly close to safety. They were horribly adrift at Christmas, but have battled their way to the cusp of a remarkable great escape.
They’ve lost one in their last ten matches and face Wycombe and Bradford in their final two matches of the season. It promises to be a hectic period, with any three from eight or nine teams likely to still face the drop.
Can they pull it off? If these fans are to be believed, they could be on the cusp of another fairy tale escape.

Although staying up would be incredible, whatever happens I'm proud of my team again, that's what's important. Also with the current core of this team we'd smash L2!

Keep fighting. I have full confidence that we can secure League One football next season with the two wins in the last two games. It's all in the mind. If you think that you can do it, you can. COYD!
