Mick Harford will remain in charge of League One leaders Luton Town until the end of the season.
Harford, who celebrates his sixtieth birthday today, was appointed caretaker manager in January following Nathan Jones departure to Stoke City.
The former Hatters striker has since guided them to five wins in a row. They currently sit six points clear at the top of the table and are unbeaten in their last nineteen league games.
If they can extend this run to twenty-games by avoiding defeat at Fleetwood on Saturday, they will break a fifty-year-old club record.
Chief executive Gary Sweet confirmed the club would look to make a longer-term appointment in the summer.
Luton fans were delighted with the birthday announcement. Here is a selection of their responses on social media.
Gaffer. Leader. Legend.

Sensible decision. Anyone who is interested in the job would have been crazy to come in until this season is over.
