League Two Stevenage have made four deadline-day signings on a busy day at the Lamex Stadium.
Ilias Chair, Elijah Adebayo, Jordan Gibson and Calum Dyson all arrived at the club before the window closes.
Ilias Chair has joined on-loan from QPR for the rest of the season. The Moroccan born attacker is yet to make a senior appearance for the Hoops.
21-year-old Fulham striker Elijah Adebayo has joined Boro on loan until May with a view to signing a permanent deal in the summer. He spent the first half of the season on loan at League Two rivals Swindon Town scoring five goals in twenty-five appearances for the Robbins.
Jordan Gibson has also signed on loan until the end of the current season with a view to signing a permanent contract in the summer. The Twenty-year-old Bradford City winger has made twenty-two appearances for the Bantams since joining them from Rangers in the summer of 2017.
Finally, Callum Dyson has also put pen to paper on a loan deal with an option to buy at the end of the season. The Plymouth Argyle forward came through the ranks at Everton, and after loan spells at Stockport, Chester and Grimsby he made the permanent switch to Home Park in 2018. He has made just two appearances for Argyle which both came in the Checkatrade Trophy.
Stevenage have also announced that recent loan signing Oliver Byrne has made his deal permanent, signing from Blackburn Rovers. The goalkeeper joined the Hertfordshire outfit earlier in January.
Our View
Stevenage boss Dino Maamria has bolstered the numbers in his squad and also added some youth and enthusiasm, but experience amongst the signings is limited. Some of the players might be a gamble but if they come off Maamaria will have shown himself to be a shrewd operator in the transfer market.
