Good things come to those who wait and this evening, Bradford City fans have finally got what they’ve been waiting for.
Christmas might not be for three weeks yet, but there’s going to be little under the trees of Bantam’s fans that will be as welcomed as the news that chairman and chief executive Edin Rahic has left the club.
They’ve had a horrible twelve months under his so-called management, going through four managers and yet finding themselves rock bottom of League One as we look to the turn of the year.
They’re not out of the woods, not by a long shot. The squad has been torn apart, the community spirit has rotted away and the bare bones of a once proud football club are all that remain at Valley Parade.
However, this is the year dot, this is the start. This is where the fans unite, the club begins to rebuild and hopefully, they look to the future.
There’s not a Bradford fan in the world who isn’t bloody delighted this evening and the selection of Twitter responses below cannot do justice to the size of the news emerging this evening.,
Over the moon. Job done. Stripped our beliefs and values and turned it in to a nightmare. Now it’s time for everyone to come together and re build OUR club and get out of this mess. #CTID

Congratulations – and thank you – both for the action taken and for the statement. No hollow thank you. Just a loud, resounding rejection. Well done. We can begin to hope again. #bcafc

Note the lack of the traditional “we would like to thank Edin for his efforts and wish him all the best for the future” in Stefans comments….
