Lincoln City attacker Joan Luque has joined National league side Bromley on a short-term loan deal.
The former Barcelona midfielder joined the Imps in the summer from Heybridge Swifts and has one goal from three outings. he had previously come to England with nothing more than the clothes on his back in search of first team football.
However, with the Imps riding high in League Two, chances have been at a premium.
“The plan is for him to play some games,” said Imps manager Danny Cowley. “He’s come into the club and done great, he’s a boy with top end quality who can score goals and create goals. But he needs to play, and with the team playing so well his chances have been limited and we want to make sure he has a run of games.”
Bromley are managed by former Gillingham player Neil Smith and are currently 18th in the National League table.
Our View
It seems a good move for Luque, Imps fans have been hoping to see more of him, but with six loan players all wanting game time it hasn’t been possible.
He scored against a strong Blackburn side at Ewood Park and is on a six-month contract at Sincil Bank.
