Coventry City will be without influential full back Jack Grimmer for the next month to month and a half, according to the Coventry Telegraph.
The former Fulham man picked up the injury in the 2-1 win at Oxford United and missed the game against Barnsley this weekend.
“Jack suffered a grade two tear of his soleus so generally the rule book is 4-6 weeks,” manager Mark Robins told Alex Lowe. “Like I said in my post-match the other week, I guarantee it will be around that time frame.”
Grimmer has represented Scotland from Under 15 right through to Under 21 level. He started out at Aberdeen, later moving to Craven Cottage before loan spells with Port Vale and three separate stints with Shrewsbury Town.
His side are currently 12th in the League One table and face a trip to Bristol Rovers this weekend.
Our View
Whilst it is a blow for Coventry, Dujon Sterling deputised very well for him this weekend.
They’re been unlucky with injuries at the Ricoh in recent times, Maxime Biamou is out for a long spell and Jodi Jones is also slowly coming back into contention.
