Yeovil Town have secured a deal to take Scunthorpe United striker Olufela Olomola on loan until January.
20-year old Olomola spent five months of last season with Darren Way’s side, scoring seven goals in 21 league games. He had been borrowed from Southampton, but joined Scunthorpe from St Mary’s in the summer.
“Fela’s contribution during his loan spell last season was phenomenal,” Yeovil manager Darren Way said of his loan spell. “He watched our game against Notts County recently and decided he was desperate to come back. The owner and chairman must take all the credit for this move coming to fruition.”
The popular striker is eligible for this weekend’s clash with Grimsby, a game which could see the Glovers move into the top three in League Two after an impressive start.
Clearly he isn’t fancied at Scunthorpe, new manager Stuart McCall wanting to bring in some of his own faces, including Ike Ugbo from Chelsea.
Olomola is a quality addition to the Glovers ranks though, he’s powerful and direct with a good eye for goal. He’ll be an important figure for them if he gets firing on all cylinders.
