News is breaking that managerless Notts County have made an approach for Crawley Town manager Harry Kewell.
Sky Sports confirm that the Magpies want former Liverpool and Leeds winger Kewell to take over from Kevin Nolan, who was sacked from Meadow Lane after Saturday’s 3-1 defeat at Lincoln City.
Kewell took Crawley to 14th in League Two last season, and dealt with County when selling winger Enzio Boldewijn in the summer. The Red Devils are 14th in the early league table this season, with County rock bottom with a solitary point.
Kewell’s only previous managerial experience came with Watford U23 side, but he enjoyed a rich playing career with Galatasaray, Liverpool and Leeds.
