Queens Park Rangers welcome high flying Hull City to the MATRADE Loftus Road Stadium as the Championship returns to action following the international break.
Our Three Predictions For Queens Park Rangers vs Hull City
- First Prediction: Hull City – Draw No Bet – 7/5
- Second Prediction: Both Teams To Score – 5/7
- Third Prediction: Over 2.5 Goals – 20/23
First Prediction For Queens Park Rangers vs Hull City – Hull City – Draw No Bet – 6/4
It all looked doom and gloom for Queens Park Rangers following their 7-1 hammering from Coventry City on August 23rd, but they recovered in excellent fashion to record a 6-game unbeaten run. This earned Julien Stephan a nomination for the Championship Manager of the Month in September, although he lost out to Ipswich Town’s Kieran McKenna.
The Hoops have taken somewhat of a nosedive since though. They lost 3 games in succession before a 0-0 draw with Sheffield United prior to the international break to slip down to 16th in the table.
Meanwhile, Hull continue to exceed expectations after being heavily tipped to suffer relegation this season. They currently sit fifth having lost just 1 of their last 8 league outings.
The Tigers did lose their last game away from the MKM Stadium to Derby County, but have beaten Birmingham City and Norwich City on the road in the past month. It wouldn’t be a major shock to see them repeat that here but protecting your stake with the draw no bet option is the smart choice.
Second Prediction For Queens Park Rangers vs Hull City – Both Teams To Score – 8/11
This is a game which features to teams that rank highly in this market over the course of the campaign. QPR have seen 10 of their 15 fixtures achieve this feat so far, a number which includes their last 3 home outings.
Only Southampton have been involved in more games where both teams have scored than Hull. Eleven of the Tigers’ 15 fixtures have achieved this feat.
This has been bumped up in recent weeks, where Sergej Jakirovic’s team have kept just 1 clean sheet in their last 6, whilst scoring in each.
Third Prediction For Queens Park Rangers vs Hull City – Over 2.5 Goals – 17/20
After the statistics in the previous prediction, it’s no surprise to see this one feature too. QPR have been involved in games which have produced 3 or more goals in 53% of their fixtures to date, although this rises to 57% at Loftus Road.
Surprisingly, Hull top the division in this market, surpassing the free scoring Coventry City by 1 game. A huge 73% of their outings have been high scoring affairs.
A 3-2 win over Portsmouth prior to the international break shows how lethal they can be in front of goal, whilst still proving that they are liable to concede at the back.

Full Preview Of The Game: Last Results And Head-To-Head:
Eyebrows were raised when QPR appointed Julien Stephan in the summer, especially after the start he had. The West London-based outfit failed to win in their first game and concerns were raised when they suffered a huge 7-1 defeat at the hands of Coventry in August.
It was therefore a shock when they recovered instantly to pick up their first win of the campaign against Charlton Athletic (3-1). This was a result which kickstarted a 6-game unbeaten run, which saw them rise into the play-off positions in October.
The Hoops’ recent form has been poor though. They’ve won just 1 of their last 6 whilst also losing 3 home games in succession. Those defeats came against Millwall (2-1), Ipswich Town (4-1) and Southampton (2-1). They did recover slightly prior to the international break by picking up a 0-0 draw with Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.
It’s been an excellent forst quarter of the season for Hull and they currently find themselves in the play-off positions. Similar to their opponents, they also opted to make a managerial change in the summer, bringing in Sergej Jakirovic in place of Ruben Selles.
One win from their first 5 raised concerns as to whether the Bosnian was the right man for the job, but they have lost just 2 of their last 10 to surge up the table. One of those losses came in their last away outing, where they fell to a 2-1 reverse at Derby County.
The Tigers bounced back at the first opportunity by beating Portsmouth 3-2. Joe Gelhardt proved to be the hero at the MKM Stadium, scoring the winner in the 79th minute.
There’s nothing much to separate the 2 teams in the head-to-head record, both recently and overall. They picked up a win apiece last season, with QPR winning 2-1 in East Yorkshire in January, whilst Hull won 3-1 in the reverse at Loftus Road.
Overall, the Tigers have won 22 of the previous 61 clashes, with the Londoners picking up 21 victories. The pair have also recorded 18 draws, the last of which came in 2022.
