Our 3 Predictions For Hull City vs Leicester City:

  • 1st Prediction For Hull City vs Leicester City: Match Result – Draw – 12/5
  • 2nd Prediction For Hull City vs Leicester City: Over 3.5 Goals – 9/4
  • 3rd Prediction For Hull City vs Leicester City: Both Teams To Score – Yes – 3/4

1st Prediction For Hull City vs Leicester City: Match Result – Draw – 12/5

Before the international break, Hull recorded their third home win in 5 games against Sheffield United. That continues the Tigers’ good record against sides who were either in the Premier League or Play-Offs last season, having also seen off Southampton last month. With only 4 sides in the Championship having a better home on their own patch, Sergej Jakirović’s side will be confident of making it 3 wins in a row this midweek.

Leicester have recovered well from their only away defeat of the season, which came against Preston North End. Since then, the Foxes have recorded two wins and two draws, also meaning that just 4 sides have a better away record in the second tier. Martí Cifuentes have drawn 5 of the last 6 games across all venues, but beat Swansea City in their last game away from the East Midlands.

Given these sides are in such similar form across their contrasting venues, a draw seems the likely outcome tomorrow evening.

2nd Prediction For Hull City vs Leicester City: Over 3.5 Goals – 9/4

Only Coventry City and Ipswich Town have bettered the Tigers’ tally of 9 home goals this season. Twice scoring 3 goals, Hull also netted that figure in their last outing on Saturday against Birmingham City. As a result, they have moved up to second in the Championship in the goalscoring department with 17 in 10 games.

The Sky Blues are also 1 of 2 sides to score more times than Leicester away from home. Netting 8 times in 5 games on the road, the Foxes managed their best outing of the season last time out in South Wales. Against a Hull side with the second-worst record at the other end (18), they have seen an average of 3.5 goals a game this season, and expect that figure to be exceeded on Tuesday.

3rd Prediction For Hull City vs Leicester City: Both Teams To Score – Yes – 3/4

The only time Hull have failed to score at home this season was against Blackburn Rovers back in August. After holding Coventry City to a goalless draw on the opening day, 8 of their 10 games since have seen both teams find the back of the net. Though in their last game, the Tigers kept a clean sheet against the Blades.

Leicester are on a run of 4 games with both teams finding the net since they also had a goalless draw against local rivals and league leaders Coventry. On the road this season, the Foxes have scored in every game, though they have shipped 6 goals. With that in mind, expect both teams to find the back of the net in East Yorkshire.

Full Preview Of The Game: Last Results And Head-To-Head:

Hull City returned from the international break by recording another impressive result in the West Midlands. Ending Birmingham City’s 29-game unbeaten streak at home, the Tigers made it back-to-back victories in October, leaving them only 3 points off third-place Stoke City. That result means it’s just 1 loss in 6 games for Jakirović’s side, which was a surprise reverse at Watford last month.

After just a single win in August, exiting the Carabao Cup in Round One, Hull have really turned the screw in the past few weeks. After almost falling out of the division last season, Hull look to continue their surge up the Championship against Charlton Athletic, before facing struggling sides Norwich City and Derby County at the start of November.

Leicester were once again frustrated in the Championship this season on Saturday evening. Portsmouth more than warranted their point at the King Power Stadium after an impressive second-half showing, following the Foxes’ run of every game in September ending in a stalemate. Cifuentes’ outfit are now unbeaten in 8 games since their only league loss of the season against Preston North End 2 months ago.

However, since their successive victories against Charlton and Birmingham at the end of August, they have drawn 5 out of 6. Beating Swansea earlier this month was their only three-point haul in that time. A difficult London assignment is next up at Millwall this weekend, before two home games against Blackburn Rovers and high-flying Middlesbrough start November.

Once a Premier League fixture less than a decade ago, Leicester have won only 1 of the last 6 meetings between the clubs. Hull have won 3 times in that period, helping them edge further clear in the head-to-head record with 31 wins to the Foxes’ 27.
