Josh Sargent has been the most in-form striker in the Championship to begin the campaign. Despite an evident, targeted approach from second tier defences – attempting to pocket the American – Sargent has already bagged five times. Expect this latest clash to be no different, with Wrexham struggled to keep out chances.
Having been out on international duty prior to the Coventry City match-up, Sargent inevitably couldn’t find the net and was subbed before the 90-minute mark. However, rejuvenated and at home, the striker will be expected to revisit the form he found at the very beginning of the season.
There was no issue with sharing goalscoring glory against Blackburn Rovers; Sargent bagged a brace at Ewood Park and is the main penalty taker for Norwich. If Wrexham defenders struggle to keep up with the American’s pace and manipulation of the ball in the box, a penalty could easily be handed to the established Championship side.
