Darren Ferguson will feel that they did enough to get something out of the game against Wigan Athletic and Barnsley, but they must start putting away their chances. Peterborough have been involved in just one fixture that has featured three or more goals in League One this season. That came on the opening day when they were defeated 2-1 by Cardiff City, but this game has a different feel about it. Posh are determined to get their campaign up and running and have shown promise over the past seven days. They were also the top scorers in the bottom half of the table last season.

Bradford’s five games in all competitions have broken this market on four occasions, having secured 2-1 wins over Wycombe, Luton, Stockport and Blackburn. They have certainly proven they know where the net is but are liable at the back to concede a goal or two. Despite the season being in its infancy, Peterborough will feel there is a lot riding on this game for them and a goal fest could ensue as a result. This is also a fixture which traditionally generates plenty of action, with 22 goals scored between them in their previous five meetings.

Meanwhile, Bradford are enjoying life back in the third tier and will enter the field at the Weston Homes Stadium in fourth position.
