Our Three Predictions For Cardiff City v Rotherham United
Prediction 1 – Cardiff City To Win – 17/25
Prediction 2 – Over 2.5 Goals Scored – 17/20
Prediction 3 – Both Teams To Score – Yes – 3/4
First Prediction For Cardiff City v Rotherham United – Cardiff City To Win – 17/25
With a win and a draw from their first two games, it is easy to see why many predicted that Cardiff City would be one of the main contenders on League One this season. They Won the opening game, 2-1 against Peterborough United, then back it up with a point on the road. They also won in cup action in midweek, fending off a spirited Swindon Town challenge. Rotherham United are coming off the back of a League Cup win at Salford, but previously they lost at Stevenage after a win on the first day of the season, 2-1 against Port Vale. Cardiff will be most confident coming into this game, and are already showing signs that at home they will be tough to beat.
Second Prediction For Cardiff City v Rotherham United – Over 2.5 Goals Scored – 17/20
Not a sure fire bet by any means, despite the low odds, mainly because Rotherham are a little goal shy but should they chip in with a goal, it will definitely make this a firm choice. Cardiff have already scored four at home, albeit two were in the League Cup, and will fancy their chances of at least another brace here. Rotherham are not shipping goals, shipping just one in three games overall, so a tough team to break down, but it is away that they will struggle, and this could be a big test is they concede early. That said an early goal will open the game up, and both side could well profit form that.
Third Prediction For Cardiff City v Rotherham United – Both Teams To Score – Yes – 3/4
A much tighter choice here as said above Rotherham are not lighting up the scoreboard, and are also keeping it very tight at the back. The host will score, they average two at home already, and even though they drew a blank on the road at Port Vale, in what was a credible point won, it is home where they will win more than lose. They too are keeping the door closed at the back, but this could be a game where an early goal opens the floodgates, and both defences could under pressure.

Full Preview Of The Game: Last Results And Head To Head
Brian Barry-Murphy has a big task ahead of him, get promotion back to the Championship. As we all know doing that in a competitive League One is far form easy. To do so his side will have to be kings at home, and so far so good where that is concerned with two wins from two outings. 18 year old Ronan Kpakio has settled in well in this early stage and has a goal to his name too. At the back he is supported by the reliable Ryan Wintle. Attacking wise the Welsh side have the exciting Rubin Colwill, and his brother Joel, after they made history by becoming the first brothers to start for the club in over 40 years.
Rotherham United will be out for an upset win, and even a point in this game could please manager Matthew Hamshaw. After a win on the first day they have failed to score in both league and cup games since, but they are proving tough to beat so far, and that will please fans. Keeping things tight at the back are goalkeeper Cameron Dawson, and he is protected by Lenny Agbaire, Reece James and Joe Rafferty. Two goal striker Sam Nombe has been the standout player so far, and Daniel Gore is proving a handful in midfield.
