Our 3 Predictions For Huddersfield Town v Leicester City:
- 1st Prediction For Huddersfield Town v Leicester City: Over 1.5 Goals – 1/5
- 2nd Prediction For Huddersfield Town v Leicester City: Match Result Leicester City – 4/5
- 3rd Prediction For Huddersfield Town v Leicester City: Both Teams To Score Yes – 8/13
1st Prediction For Huddersfield Town v Leicester City: Over 1.5 Goals – 1/5
Huddersfield Town have scored five times in their opening two league fixtures and have quality at the top end of the pitch with the likes of Alfie May and Dion Charles. Leicester’s frontline is full of threat and the likes of Patson Daka will be looking to make up for missing out on a starting spot on Sunday.
2nd Prediction For Huddersfield Town v Leicester City: Match Result Leicester City – 4/5
Huddersfield may have started their season with two great results but the Foxes will provide a sterner test for Lee Grant’s men. Even with the likely changes, Leicester should have enough to continue their fine form against the hosts, having not lost to the Terriers since 2013.
3rd Prediction For Huddersfield Town v Leicester City: Both Teams To Score Yes – 8/13
Lee Grant clearly has his side well drilled with two clean sheets to start the season but Marti Cifuentes’ Leicester have more quality in the goal scoring areas. Both sides will have players eager to press their claim for a starting place in the league so this could be a game filled with chances.

Full Preview Of The Game: Last Results And Head-To-Head:
Huddersfield Town have opened their League One campaign with two highly impressive victories over Leyton Orient and Reading. Orient were put to bed by three goals to nil in Lee Grant’s first competitive match at the helm of the Terriers thanks to strikes from Joseph Low, Alfie May and Ruben Rooskens. They followed that up on Saturday with a potentially tricky trip to the Select Car Leasing Stadium on Saturday but came away with another clean sheet and another three points thanks to goals from Jack Whatmough and youngster Cameron Ashia.
Last season was one for forget for Leicester City as they suffered relegation from the Premier League. The summer saw a change in management with former Queen Park Rangers manager Martin Cifuentes taking the reins.
The Foxes are still one of the favourites to gain promotion back to the top flight. Leicester opened their campaign on Sunday at home to Sheffield Wednesday and were behind inside half an hour.
Jannik Vestergaard pulled one back for the Foxes before Wednesday skipper Barry Bannan was sent off. With just three minutes left on the clock, Wout Faes struck to provide a much needed opening day victory.
Huddersfield Town and Leicester City have played each other 12 times since 2012, with the Foxes dominating the rivalry by nine wins to one. The sides last met during the 2023-24 Championship season, a campaign that yielded drastically different outcomes for the two sides as Huddersfield suffered relegation to League One and Leicester City were crowned Champions and were promoted to the Premier Division.
Stephy Mavididi got the only goal of the game as Huddersfield welcomed the Foxes to West Yorkshire in the early throws of the campaign. The Leicester winger struck inside the last 20 minutes to hand his side maximum points.
The reverse fixture was a far more one sided affair with a Tom Cannon brace, Ricardo Pereira and Mavididi giving Leicester a 4-1 win. Leicester would go on to gain 97 points and the league title whereas Huddersfield managed just 45 points and were relegated to the third tier.
The last time Huddersfield were successful against the Foxes was in an FA Cup tie way back in 2013. Adam Clayton gave the visiting Terriers a fifth minute lead before Michael Keane hit back for Leicester. Sean Scannell scored with 15 minutes left to send his side into the fifth round.
All but one of the last 12 meetings have produced two or more goals, with seven fixtures seeing three or more goals.
