Notts County have secured the loan signing of highly-rated Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tyrese Hall for the 2025/26 campaign.
The 19-year-old England Under-19 international becomes the second Spurs youngster to join the Magpies in successive seasons.
Spurs Prospect Set for Breakthrough Year
Hall arrives at Meadow Lane having been part of the Tottenham Under-21 side that lifted the Premier League 2 title in 2024. Though he is yet to make his senior debut for the north London club, he has impressed in academy competitions, including the EFL Trophy, where he scored against Swindon Town.
His move continues a fruitful relationship between Notts County and Tottenham. Last season, George Abbott made 44 appearances on loan at the club, scoring six goals and playing a key role in midfield. Hall now follows in his footsteps, with the Magpies confident that another young talent from Hotspur Way can make a similar impact in League Two.
Director of football Roberto Gagliardi praised Hall’s technical and physical qualities, highlighting his suitability for Notts’ progressive playing style.
“Tyrese is a dynamic and versatile midfielder who is talented and hard-working in equal measure. His main strength is his ability to play progressively – he’s an incisive passer who’s also very skilled at dribbling out of tight areas and carrying the ball forward,” said Gagliardi. “Out of possession, Tyrese’s athleticism and work-rate make him a highly-effective presser who gets into excellent positions to register goals and assists – or to create space for other attacking players.”
Hall is expected to feature across several midfield roles this season, with Gagliardi confirming the teenager is comfortable operating as a 6, 8 or 10. He will slot into a midfield group that already includes loanees Tom Iorpenda and Jayden Luker, both of whom made their debuts in the recent draw at Newport County.
Gagliardi also expressed gratitude to Tottenham for their ongoing trust, adding:
“We’ve worked hard to bring Tyrese to Meadow Lane, with George Abbott’s successful loan and our relationship with Tottenham undoubtedly being influential in him coming to us. Our thanks go to Spurs for once again recognising the valuable contribution we can make to one of their top young players’ development.”
Hall signed a five-year professional contract with Tottenham in the summer of 2024, having joined the club’s youth setup after an early spell at Chelsea. His time at Spurs has included several outings in the EFL Trophy, but this season will be his first full campaign in senior men’s football.

Writer’s View
This feels like a shrewd piece of business by Notts County, who continue to leverage their growing reputation as a valuable development ground for Premier League talent. Hall’s technical skillset and ability to operate in multiple midfield roles make him an ideal fit for a team that wants to dominate possession and play with energy.
If his adaptation to League Two mirrors that of George Abbott last season, the Magpies could once again have a top-class loan asset driving their campaign from midfield.
