Bromley Announce Capture Of Premier League Prospect

Bromley have re-signed midfielder Ben Krauhaus on loan from Premier League side Brentford ahead of their second season in the EFL.

The 20-year-old academy graduate returns to Hayes Lane for a third spell after a standout year with Brentford B.

Krauhaus Returns to Bromley After Brentford Breakthrough

Bromley have confirmed the return of former academy star Krauhaus on a season-long loan, boosting Andy Woodman’s side as they prepare for their second year in League Two following a solid debut EFL campaign.

Krauhaus joined Brentford in January 2024 for a club-record fee after rising through the ranks at Bromley, but was loaned back for the remainder of that season and played a central role in their promotion push. Across his two previous spells with the club, the attacking midfielder scored eight goals, becoming a fan favourite for his timing and flair in the final third.

He delivered a number of decisive moments, including a Boxing Day goal against Ebbsfleet United and a brace in the reverse fixture. He also netted in consecutive matches against Solihull Moors and Oxford City and found the net in both the FA Cup and FA Trophy, underlining his knack for turning up in big games.

Last season, Krauhaus helped Brentford B win the Under-21 Professional Development League national title, showcasing his continued progression and readiness for more senior football.

Krauhaus first caught attention during Bromley’s memorable FA Youth Cup runs in 2020 and 2021, with dramatic late winners at Portsmouth and Forest Green Rovers. His senior debut came under Andy Woodman in a 2021 FA Trophy tie at Dover, and he later gained experience with loan spells at Walton & Hersham and Cray Wanderers, scoring a hat-trick for the latter against Brightlingsea Regent.

Now returning to a familiar environment under a manager who has nurtured his rise, Krauhaus is expected to play a key role as Bromley look to consolidate their place in League Two.

Writer’s View

This is more than just a feel-good return—Ben Krauhaus adds genuine quality to Bromley’s midfield at a level where technical players with a creative instinct can make the difference. His development at Brentford and experience across all levels of senior football make him an ideal fit for a side aiming to push on in League Two.

With his connection to the club and Andy Woodman’s trust in him already established, Krauhaus could well be the heartbeat of Bromley’s 2025–26 campaign. If he finds rhythm early, expect him to be among the standout performers in the division.
