They then suffered a major blow by losing to fellow strugglers Stoke City last time out. The Bluebirds remain just one point from safety but it’s difficult to see them getting anything here.

Full Preview of the Game: Last Results and Head-To-Head
Sheffield United topped the table at the end of last month. However, they’ve lost all three of their games (against Oxford United, Millwall and Plymouth Argyle) in April to slip to third and are five points behind both Leeds United and Burnley. Their downturn in form has been a shock. They recorded four wins and a draw in March and looked to be on course for an instant return to the Premier League Chris Wilder will be well aware of the importance of three points here, especially as he takes his side to Burnley on Easter Monday.
Cardiff seem to be slipping in to League One and missed a huge opportunity to move out of the bottom three last weekend. A win over Stoke City would have seen them climb above the Potters, but a late Will Fish own goal handed the points to Mark Robins’ team. That was the Bluebirds’ first defeat in five though, having beaten Blackburn Rovers before drawing with Sheffield Wednesday, Queens Park Rangers and Preston North End.
The Blades have had the upper hand in this fixture in recent years. They’ve won the last five league meetings between the two, including a 2-0 win at the Cardiff City Stadium in December. However, Cardiff did cause a mini shock in January when they left Bramall Lane with a 1-0 win in the FA Cup third round. The Bluebirds haven’t won in Sheffield in the league since 2011 but will be hoping to match their exploits from January.
