Despite an impressive away record heading into this, few will be expecting Millwall to take anything away from Bramall Lane. The Blades have lost just once in their last nine league games and have only been defeated three times at the Lane all season.

Full Preview Of The Game: Last Results And Head-To-Head:

Sheffield United suffered their first defeat in six when they surprisingly went down 1-0 to relegation threated Oxford United. The result meant the Blades have lost top spot in the Championship to Scott Parker’s Burnley as they head into the final six matches.

Prior to Oxford, United had won five of their last six, including a Sheffield derby win over arch rivals Wednesday at Hillsborough thanks to a Rhian Brewster strike. Defeat at home to Leeds United was the only defeat suffered by Wilder’s men in ten matches before Siriki Dembele secured a valuable three points for Oxford.

In their run of five unbeaten, the Blades defeated Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road and Preston North End and Coventry City on home soil as well as the Steel City Derby win and a draw at home to Bristol City.

Sheffield United have taken 45 points from 20 home matches this season, winning 14 games and losing just three while scoring 30 and conceding 15. The Blades are currently second in the second tier with a total of 83 points from their 40 matches, with 26 wins to their name, and find themselves one point behind leaders Burnley and a point ahead of Leeds United in third.

Tyrese Campbell is the club’s leading scorer this season with ten goals, two ahead of Gustavo Hamer on eight with Jeserun Rak-Sakyi a further two back on six. Callum O’Hare leads the assist charts with six and is followed by Hamer on five and Harrison Burrows with three.

Millwall head north on the back of a 2-1victory over Portsmouth, a third win in five for Alex Neil’s side. Mihailo Ivanovic scored a brace to secure the points with his goals coming either side of an Andre Dozzell equaliser for Pompey.

The Lions have not managed to win two consecutive Championship matches since January turned to February and that has been highlighted in their last seven matches with a record of win, lose, win, lose, win, lose, win. In that run, Millwall have won at home against Stoke City and Portsmouth and lost to Bristol City. Away from home, Neil’s side have won at Derby County and Watford but lost at Sunderland.

Millwall are currently ninth in the Championship and may still be holding out hopes of making a late dash for the playoffs, being six points of the top six with six games to go. The Lions have 54 points from their 40 matches with 14 wins, 12 draws and 14 losses.

They have scored 39 goals this season at a little less than a goal per game with Mihailo Ivanovic helping himself to eight while Duncan Watmore sits on five. Femi Azeez leads the assists chart with five, being closely followed by George Honeyman on four.

Over the last 15 years, these sides have met 17 times and are inseparable, with seven wins apiece.

In the reverse fixture before Christmas at The Den, it was the Blades who ran out winners thanks to a Rhian Brewster strike just before halftime.

With United spending last season in the top flight, the previous meetings came in the 2022-23 season as these sides clashed on three occasions thanks to being drawn together in the FA Cup.

In the early weeks of the season, Paul Heckingbottom’s Blades ran out 2-0 winners at Bramall Lane thanks to Iliman Ndiaye and Sander Berge. The Blades repeated that scoreline in the FA Cup third round at The Den with strikes from Daniel Jebbison and Jayden Bogle.

Millwall registered a victory against the Premier League-bound Blades in February 2023 at The Den thanks to a Tom Bradshaw hat trick. Thomas Doyle and James McAtee had twice levelled the game for the visitors before Bradshaw secured the match ball with just two minutes remaining.

It seems remarkable now but it was only the 2016-17 season when these two teams met in League One, sharing a win apiece as the Blades won the division with 100 points and the Lions followed them to the second tier via the playoffs.
