Our Three Predictions For Wycombe Wanderers vs Wrexham:

  • First Prediction For Wycombe Wanderers vs Wrexham: Match Result – Draw – 11/5
  • Second Prediction For Wycombe Wanderers vs Wrexham: Under 2.5 Goals – 57/100
  • Third Prediction For Wycombe Wanderers vs Wrexham: Half-Time Result – Wrexham – 16/5

First Prediction For Wycombe Wanderers vs Wrexham: Match Result – Draw – 11/5

Both these sides have to be wary of Charlton in the race to finish second, who look to be the likely candidate to trouble them out of the chasing pack. This fixture would showcase the best of both sides at The Racecourse instead of Adams Park, but Wycombe have still been good at home. The Chairboys are unbeaten in their last five in Buckinghamshire, losing only twice at home all season. Wrexham have lost thrice that number on their travels, including on Tuesday evening, ending a run of four straight away wins. This therefore points towards a draw, with both sides level on points, which would leave Wycombe in the box seat for automatic promotion.

Second Prediction For Wycombe Wanderers vs Wrexham: Under 2.5 Goals – 57/100

Wycombe lead the way for goals in the division with 61, thought not at home. Their tally of 24 leaves them in mid table, compared with the rest of League One, though they make up for it in defence. By conceding just ten, they are second only to Birmingham in that department. The Red Dragons also have a tight defence, shipping just sixteen away from home, which is the third best tally in the third tier. But by only scoring seventeen, a tight contest can be expected. Added to the pressure on this fixture, excitement may be limited in the goalscoring department.

Third Prediction For Wycombe Wanderers vs Wrexham: Half-Time Result – Wrexham – 16/5

The Red Dragons drop a place in the League One half time table, and are twelve points worse off, due to the number of their games that are level at the interval. They have though only trailed on four occasions, giving reason to believe they will at least be level by 4pm on Saturday afternoon. That feeling is only enhanced when looking at Wycombe’s first half record. The Chairboys are a mammoth twenty points behind their tally over 90 minutes, possessing the twelfth best record in the opening period, leading just ten games at the break. With only 24 goals in the opening 45, they certainly come strong in the second half of fixtures, giving Wrexham hope that they can lead at half time on Saturday.

Full Preview Of The Game: Last Results And Head-To-Head:

March hasn’t been the greatest of months for Wycombe, though they have maintained their spot inside the top two. Birmingham took a huge stride towards the League One title when they narrowly edged past the Chairboys, before the Buckinghamshire side responded against Burton. They were actually dropping out of the automatic promotion places by a point last Saturday, until Richard Kone stepped up in the 93rd minute to salvage a point.

Dropped points were also a common theme in February, when Wycombe drew three out of their four league encounters. An FA Cup loss at Preston can also be added to that tally as it went to penalties, joining games against Cambridge, Crawley and Wigan that ended level. The only win was a midweek triumph over Bristol Rovers, making it two wins in seven league games. Mike Dodds will be hoping to recapture the form Wycombe were in before he took over, when they were victorious in four of their seven games in January.

Wrexham missed the chance to leapfrog Wycombe before their huge showdown as they fell to defeat at Reading on Tuesday. That helped hand the initiative back to the Chairboys, who have home advantage for this clash, and now a crucial game in hand too. The Red Dragons ability to find a way to win is what has them in third though, sneaking past Yorkshire sides Rotherham and Huddersfield in March.

A loss at Leyton Orient was the only other time they had been defeated since January. But the opening month of 2025 was a disastrous one, winning only once, against Peterborough. Away losses at Barnsley and Shrewsbury, coupled with a home defeat against Stevenage, were only softened by a point against league leaders Birmingham. Victories at Crawley, Northampton and Mansfield last month helped get them back on track.

Fellow promotion rivals and a team they have had some great battles with over the past few years, Stockport, are next up for Phil Parkinson’s men. Three fixtures against teams sixteenth and below follows that, including two inside the drop zone in Cambridge and Burton. After that are three sides unlikely to have anything to play for before a mouth-watering penultimate fixture against Charlton. The Welsh outfit then travel to Lincoln on the final day of the season.

Wycombe also have the Imps to play, but not before a trip to South Yorkshire next Tuesday evening against Rotherham. Likewise, they also open April against a side threatened with relegation, Shrewsbury, before consecutive away trips to Play-Off chasers Reading and Huddersfield. Easter throws up two fascinating encounters against Bolton and Charlton, before a trip to the capital to face Leyton Orient. Mike Dodds outfit face Stockport on what could be a huge final day of the campaign.

A draw is historically the most common outcome in this fixture, as ten of the 25 meetings have ended in this fashion. Wycombe lead the head-to-head by a win, though they lost to the Welsh outfit on the opening day of the season. That five goal thriller was the first meeting between these two teams in sixteen years.
