Bolton Wanderers are among a number of clubs who have shown an interest in Felixstowe and Walton United winger Charlie Warren, according to a report in the East Anglian Daily Times.
Warren has been on trial with Bolton and even scored in a B-team game against Blackburn Rovers earlier this week.
Who Is Charlie Warren?
Charlie Warren is a 20-year-old left-footed winger who has already scored an incredible 27 goals this season for his Isthmian League Division One North side.
Warren was with Ipswich Town as a young player before finding his way to Felixstowe and Walton United and he has helped guide the club to the top of their division this season.
He has spent time this week, according to the report, on trial at Bolton but scored the all-important winner for his current team last weekend to give them a vital win over Tilbury to keep ahead of their nearest rivals Bury Town on goal difference.

Interest From Elsewhere
Bolton may have Warren on trial but they are not the only Football League club to have expressed interest in the 20-year-old.
Championship outfit Stoke City and League One promotion chasers Wycombe Wanderers have both reportedly had a look at Warren with trials of their own.
What’s Been Said?
Felixstowe and Walton United boss Stuart Boardley has spoken of the interest his star man has been receiving.
“Charlie’s had a lot of interest from various EFL clubs.”
“He’s under contract with us, but we won’t stand in the way of him fulfilling his potential.”
Boardley is full of praise for Warren’s qualities and how he has progressed as a player.
“He’s really good technically and physically very able. He’s turned into a man over the past couple of years and this season has been his big breakout.”
“He’s been incredible for us, is a great lad and, even though we’ve not received any concrete offers yet, we’re resigned to losing him.”
The United boss is in no doubt Warren will be a success.
“I’ve got no doubt he’ll go on to have a good professional career. My only surprise is that none of the local clubs – Ipswich, Colchester, Norwich, Cambridge – haven’t had a look.”
Writer’s View
What an opportunity for Warren to have these three clubs chasing his signature and scoring for the Bolton B-team will have done him no harm.
Any transfer will be one for the future of these clubs and it wouldn’t come as a surprise to see the young winger loaned out down the footballing pyramid.
