Our 3 predictions for Bradford City vs MK Dons

  • 1st prediction: Bradford City to win or draw
  • 2nd prediction: Over 2.5 goals in the match
  • 3rd prediction: Both teams to score

1st prediction for Bradford City vs MK Dons: Bradford City to win or draw – 7/50

This prediction is based both on recent form and the league table at the moment. Bradford had been struggling in mid-table but have really picked up in recent weeks and months, with only one league loss in eleven, a run stretching back to before Christmas. This form has seen them dispatch the likes of league leaders Walsall and catapulted them into promotion contention, with the Bantams currently occupying a play-off spot. The same can’t be said for MK Dons, who have really struggled. They started the season in a promising way and were comfortably in the top half, but things have dropped recently. Scott Lindsey’s side have struggled for consistent form, and find themselves 16th. With this, plus being the away team, they are surely underdogs here.

2nd prediction for Bradford City vs MK Dons: Over 2.5 goals in the game – 3/4

There’s going to be goals in this one. Bradford have scored in all but two of their games so far in 2025, while MK Dons are pretty impressive going forward for a team in mid-table. There’s also too much riding on this game for the teams to sit back. Bradford need a win to boost their promotion hopes while MK Dons will want to escape from mid-table mediocrity and make something of their season, even if that’s only a top-half finish. Both sides play good football and look to score, with impressive attacking names on the books in both camps. Bradford will come in to this on the front foot with their form and home advantage, so they could get at least a couple against a vulnerable MK Dons team.

3rd prediction for Bradford City vs MK Dons: Both teams to score – 33/50

Despite the contrasts in form, it’s looking likely both teams will hit the back of the net on Saturday. MK Dons, for all their faults, are pretty good going forward with the attacking style Scott Lindsey employs, though this may not be out in full force against Bradford. They’ve scored an impressive 44 goals already this season but it’s their defence which is letting them down, and could help Bradford. The West Yorkshire outfit are in fine form and are confident going forward, having recently put three past title hopefuls Walsall. As well as this, they have home advantage, so will definitely go for it as they look towards the automatic promotion spots. All things considered, an attacking game is likely with goals for both teams.

Full preview of the game: last results and head to head

The backdrop to this game is fascinating; two teams who had been expected to challenge at the top of the table, but only one doing so. Bradford lie 5th having had an incredible upturn in form, while MK Dons are 16th despite an abundance of talent within their ranks. This has created a game with plenty at stake at both ends of the table. Bradford come into this one having lost just twice in 2025, and with four wins in their last six. Their last game was, however, a loss in midweek to Birmingham City in the Vertu Trophy.

MK Dons are a hit more inconsistent. They’ve won only one of their last six, with three consecutive losses in that run, which has dragged them down the table. Their last game was a draw against struggling Tranmere Rovers, which ended 1-1.

In terms of this fixture’s past, it goes in favour of Bradford. They’ve won 12 of 19 fixtures, with only six wins for MK Dons. Bradford have won the last two meetings, including a 2-1 win away in August, so will hope to complete the double this weekend.
