Our Three Predictions For Queens Park Rangers vs Blackburn Rovers

  • First Prediction: Queens Park Rangers To Win – 7/5
  • Second Prediction: Both Teams To Score – 19/20
  • Third Prediction: Over 2.5 Goals – 5/4

First Prediction For Queens Park Rangers vs Blackburn Rovers – Queens Park Rangers To Win – 7/5

Just two months ago, Queens Park Rangers looked in serious danger of relegation to League One. However, a huge upturn in form from the end of November has seen them rise comfortably into mid-table. A lot of their recovery has been down to their home form. They did lose their last outing at Loftus Road against Sheffield Wednesday, but that came off the back of five successive wins. Prior to the loss against the Owls, their last home defeat came against Middlesbrough at the beginning of November and you have to back them to return to winning ways against a team that have lost three and drawn one of their last four away games.

Blackburn became unlikely contenders to secure a play-off place in the opening few months of the season but have recently fallen off. They’ve won just two of their last 10 games, although they still somehow sit fifth in the Championship. This shows the tight nature of the division, and a 2-1 win over rivals Preston North End on Friday night will have been a huge confidence boost. Still, their recent away form has been poor at best.

Second Prediction For Queens Park Rangers vs Blackburn Rovers – Both Teams To Score – 19/20

QPR have turned a corner in front of goal and have only failed to score in two of their last 12 league outings. However, they do still tend to concede and have kept only three clean sheets during the same period. Six of their last seven have seen both teams score.

Meanwhile, Blackburn aren’t a team which typically see this bet come in, although both teams have scored in their last two games. They have failed to score in five of their last 10 league games, although they will enter theis game with a renewed mindset following their victory over Preston.

Third Prediction For Queens Park Rangers vs Blackburn Rovers – Over 2.5 Goals

As above, it is the Hoops recent fixtures which are the reasons for backing this bet. Their last three home victories have finished either 2-1 or 3-1 and their recent fixtures have been exciting to watch from a neutral perspective. Three of Blackburn’s last five fixtures have also seen three goals or more and it is likely that any potential victor will need to score at least twice to gain the three points here.

We’re backing a 2-1 victory for Queens Park Rangers.

Full Preview of the Game: Last Results and Head-To-Head

QPR enter this game having lost their last two having been narrowly edged out by Millwall on Saturday, which followed the 2-0 home defeat against Sheffield Wednesday. The pair of losses followed a run of four successive wins, which saw Marti Cifuentes’ side beat Watford, Luton Town, Plymouth Argyle and Hull City. As a result, they now sit comfortably in 14th, 11 points above the bottom three.

Looking at Blackburn’s recent form, it is a miracle they still find themselves in the play-off places. Their 2-1 win over rivals Preston ended a run of three successive defeats, but they have only won two of their last 10 league fixtures. John Eustace will be hoping they can now kick start a run similar to that between November and December, where they won six games on the spin, including an excellent 1-0 win over league leaders Leeds United.

The two teams met at Ewood Park in September, with Blackburn emerging with the three points thanks to goals from Lewis Travis and Danny Batth. Rovers also won on their last visit to Loftus Road in 2023, leaving the capital with a 4-0 victory. QPR’s last three points at home against the Lancashire-based side was in 2021.
