Our Three Predictions For Coventry City vs Leeds United
- First Prediction: Leeds United To Win – 4/5
- Second Prediction: Both Teams To Score – 3/4
- Third Prediction: Over 2.5 Goals – 17/20
First Prediction For Coventry City vs Leeds United – Leeds United To Win – 4/5
Leeds are slight favourites to pick up the victory at the CBS Arena, but it’s hard to look past them after their 7-0 demolition of Cardiff City on Saturday. The Whites sit two points clear at the top of the Championship with a staggering +41 goal difference. It’s now been 12 league games since they’ve tasted defeat, a run stretching back to the end of November. Although this includes four draws, there is no getting away from the fact that Daniel Farke’s side look the stand out team in the division.
Coventry do enter this game in the midst of their best form of the season. This has seen them launch an unlikely play-off bid and they’ll be confident they can upset Leeds’ title bid in front of their own supporters. However, the Yorkshire outfit have the bit between their teeth and it’s difficult to see past an away win.
Second Prediction For Coventry City vs Leeds United – Both Teams To Score – 3/4
Coventry have conceded just one goal in their last four games whilst picking up 12 points in the process. They face a different proposition against the league’s top scorers though. They do have the fire power to make life tough for their opponents though. They have only failed to score once in their last 10 league outings, that coming in the way of a 0-0 draw against Millwall in December.
Leeds may have kept seven clean sheets in their last 10 but will have to be at their best against one of the most in-form teams in the Championship. Only Burnley have stopped them scoring in their last 12 outings, which is hardly a surprise against a team that has conceded just nine times all season. It would be a major surprise if the Sky Blues prevent them from finding the back of the net.
Third Prediction For Coventry City vs Leeds United – Over 2.5 Goals – 17/20
With both teams in a rich vein of form, we could be in for a pulsating clash at the CBS Arena. Coventry have only failed to score twice at home this season and Frank Lampard has really got them firing in recent weeks. Watford were the last visitors to the West Midlands, with the Sky Blues winning 2-1.
Burnley game aside, Leeds have been one of the most exciting teams to watch this season. They are averaging two goals a game and their seven against Cardiff show how ruthless they can be in front of goal. They also stuck three past Coventry earlier on in the campaign. With Sheffield United still breathing down their necks, we could be in for another pulsating display which will be grat to watch from a neutral point of view. Expect plenty of goals here.

Full Preview of the Game: Last Results and Head-To-Head
Coventry have enjoyed a remarkable upturn in form since appointing Frank Lampard at the end of November. It may not have been a popular decision and we’ll never know if Mark Robins could have achieved similar results, but there’s no denying that they are a team on the up. A 2-0 win away at Swansea City was their fourth victory on the bounce and they are now up to 11th in the Championship, three points off the play-off places. Stretching their form back further, they’ve lost just two of their last 10, with their last defeat coming away at Norwich City on January 4th. Their last home loss came at the hands of Derby County in November.
Leeds are unbeaten in 12 league games stretching back to the end of November. Since then, they have picked up eight wins and four draws, with the 7-0 win over Cardiff City the latest. They did suffer successive draws at the beginning of the month, although that was at the end of the busy festive schedule. The Whites haven’t conceded a goal since the 3-3 draw with Hull City on January 4th. They remain two points clear at the top of the Championship.
Daniel Farke’s team won the previous meeting 3-0 at Elland Road in September, although failed to beat Coventry in both clashes last season. This included a 2-1 win for the Sky Blues at the CBS Arena last April. Leeds’ last win in the West Midlands was in 2010.
