The German admitted that he was happy with his team’s performance at Elland Road, and they were arguably the better team in the first half. They had been scoring for fun in the build up to that game and a return to home soil could be just the tonic they need.
Bristol City have been poor on the road having not recorded an away victory since beating Norwich City in early November. Since then, they have lost three and drawn two and it is something they will need to improve if they want to sneak into the top six.

Sunday’s 3-0 defeat against Leeds was the first time that Sheffield Wednesday had failed to score in eight games in all competitions. They had their opportunities though and were left to rue them as Daniel Farke’s side put the game to bed in the latter stages with two late goals. Prior to that though, their previous four league outings had seen them hit the back of the net 10 times, but they all conceded in each fixture.
Bristol City drew a blank at Coventry and have failed to score on their travels in three of the last five. However, the Owls’ defensive record shows they are susceptible at the back and Liam Manning will back his side to capitalise on that.

This prediction follows a similar theme to the above. Sheffield Wednesday have seen their last five Championship fixtures produce at least three goals. With them failing to keep clean sheets in recent weeks, it is likely they will need a minimum of two goals to emerge victorious. There is a lot riding on this game and it could be the home support which plays a huge role in the outcome.
Bristol City have only failed to score in three of their last 10 outings, although they do tend to be low-scoring affairs. With Wednesday’s recent record in front of goals though, this could be a far more entertaining encounter than their previous clash, which finished 0-0 back in October.

Full Preview of the Game: Last Results and Head-To-Head
Sheffield Wednesday have recovered from a really poor start to the season to move up to 10th over the past few weeks. However, they do remain inconsistent having only recorded back-to-back wins twice, whilst not yet winning three in succession. The trip to Leeds on Sunday was perhaps viewed as somewhat of a free hit against a team that Danny Rohl called the best in the division following the game. It’s their home form which could prove important during the second half of the campaign. The Owls have improved in this department too and are unbeaten in their last three at Hillsborough.
Bristol City drew seven of their opening 12 fixtures but have recently started turning one point into three. They enjoyed an excellent festive period, winning three out of four games. The trio of victories all came at Ashton Gate though and their defeat away at Coventry City at the weekend extended their winless run on the road to six games.
The two sides played out a dull 0-0 draw in October, although they shared a win apiece last season. Sheffield Wednesday won 2-1 at Hillsborough whilst the Robins secured a narrow 1-0 vicrtory at Ashton Gate.
