1st Prediction For Crewe Alexandra vs Bradford City: Crewe Alexandra to win 61/50

Bradford City may be thought of as a club ‘too big’ to be in League Two, but recent form suggests that they will struggle against Crewe on Saturday. The Bantams have not won any of their last five matches in all competitions which has seen them drop to tenth place in the league, four points off the playoffs. Crewe’s recent form has not been amazing as they have won just once in their last five games. But, Lee Bell’s side have played against top of the table Port Vale, second-placed Wallsall and Notts County, who sit in sixth place, during that run. A return to the Mornflake stadium should see the Railwaymen return to their best form and pick up three points to keep them in the playoff positions.

2nd Prediction For Crewe Alexandra vs Bradford City: Under 2.5 goals 16/25

Unfortunately for fans who intend on watching the game on Saturday, neither Crewe nor Bradford have produced any particularly entertaining scorelines recently as neither side has seen more than two goals in a game in their last five games. Additionally, both teams have relatively good defences, Crewe have the best defence in the entire fourth tier, and relatively uncreative and impotent attacks, neither side are in the top 12 teams for goals per game. This makes predicting under 2.5 goals a reasonably safe option.

3rd Prediction For Crewe Alexandra vs Bradford City: Andy Cook to score at any time 9/4

Even though the encounter will be a game of few goals, one man with a high chance of scoring is Bradford city talisman Andy Cook. The 34-year-old joined the Bantams in January 2021 and has since gone on to score 74 times in 165 games for the Yorkshire-based club. He has been in immense form this season, scoring 12 times in 23 games and 10 times in just 17 league appearances which makes him the top scorer in League Two. The reliance of Graham Alexander’s side on Cook is almost frightening from a Bradford fans’ perspective. The last time a Bradford player other than Cook scored a goal was on the 2nd of November in the FA Cup game against Aldershot. But, this reliance that Bradford have on Cook makes it a good idea to predict the number nine to score.

Full Preview Of The Game: Last Results And Head-To-Head

Crewe Alexandra come into the game sitting in fifth place in the table and just two points off the automatic promotion places after a difficult run of games in which they played good teams away from home. Lee Bell will have his sights set on a win against Bradford and a long-term push for automatic promotion back to League One. Bradford sit in 10th place ahead of Saturday’s clash and Graham Alexander will be desperately looking to build some momentum after a five-game winless run and to fix his sides’ reliance on Andy Cook up front.
