Full Preview of the Game: Last Results and Head-To-Head
Port Vale started life in League Two slowly, winning just one of their opening four fixtures. However, since then, they have been the standout team in the division, with a 1-0 loss at Gillingham earlier this month the only time then have suffered defeat. That loss at the Priestfield Stadium ended a run of five consecutive victories, although they did return to winning ways against Morecambe last time out.
Crewe have also been in excellent form as of late and enter this game in the midst of a seven game unbeaten run. A 2-0 win over high-flying Notts County in their last fixture showcased their promotion credentials, but their last four away fixtures have seen Lee Bell’s side pick up just one win.
This will be the first league meeting between the two since 2019, which Vale won 1-0.
