Our 3 Predictions For Swansea City vs Leeds United

  • 1st Prediction: Home team to score under 0.5 goals 61/50
  • 2nd Prediction: Leeds United to win 73/100
  • 3rd Prediction: Joel Piroe to score the last goal 81/20

Odds are provided by these football betting sites.

1st Prediction For Swansea City vs Leeds United: Home team to score under 0.5 goals 61/50

Luke Williams’ side are having a solid season thus far as they sit in 11th place in the Championship, but goalscoring has been a real problem for the Welsh giants. The Swans’ top scorers in the league are Liam Cullen and Zan Vipotnik who have only scored two times each. This has meant that Swansea have only scored three times in their last five league games and are currently the lowest scorers in the Championship. It is more than likely that this barren run in front of goal will continue against Leeds who have built a reputation as a defensively strong side under the guidance of Daniel Farke.

2nd Prediction For Swansea City vs Leeds United: Leeds United to win 73/100

Rather surprisingly, Leeds have not won on the road in two months. Their last win away from home came against relegation contenders Cardiff City who had their starting left-back, Joel Bagan, sent off after 23 minutes. However, the Yorkshire giants have a squad that is packed with quality and it should be able to shine through against Swansea. As previously mentioned, the Whites build their success off a sturdy defence and the likes of Pascal Struijk and Joe Rodon should not be troubled by the Swans’ attackers. This will mean that full-backs Jaden Bogle and Sam Byram can get into advanced positions on the wing allowing the wingers to get in the box and take more shots and create more clearcut chances that should eventually wear the Swansea defence down.

3rd Prediction For Swansea City vs Leeds United: Joel Piroe to score the last goal 81/20

Former Swansea City man Joel Piroe will undoubtedly have some role to play on Sunday and, given his goalscoring form this season, it seems as though he could come back to haunt his former club. The Dutchman was a revelation in Wales, scoring 46 times in 96 games before moving to Elland Road last summer. He had a solid first campaign at Leeds, netting 14 times in 49 games as he was deployed in a slightly deeper role most of the time. Leeds’ number 10 has started this season well, netting six times in 16 appearances in all competition. Peculiarly, four of these six goals have come from the bench and Piroe has looked altogether more subdued when playing from the start. Given the immense faith that Daniel Farke has shown in youngster Mateo Joseph, it would not be surprising to see the Spaniard start and Piroe come off the bench to grab the last goal of the game.

Full Preview Of The Game: Last Results And Head-To-Head

Luke Williams’ Swansea currently sit in 11th place in the Championship as they have struggled for consistency and goals this season. Daniel Farke’s side, meanwhile, sit in third place and in the midst of an automatic promotion race which many pundits tipped them to win before the start of the season. Farke will know that, if he does want to claim his third promotion from the Championship, his sides’ away form will need to improve quickly. A game against a Swansea side who will not pose much attacking threat should see the likes of Willy Gnonto flourish and the high-quality Leeds attackers will all be hoping to produce a moment of brilliance that guides their team to victory.
