Our 3 predictions for Bristol City vs Sheffield United

1st prediction – match to end in a draw 9/4

2nd prediction – under 3.5 goals 21/100

3rd prediction – Sheffield United leading at half time 57/25

1st prediction for Bristol City vs Sheffield United – match to end in a draw 9/4

This is a match pitting two teams together who seem to love a draw. Sheffield United are known for being hard to beat while Bristol City will likely play more expansively at home, but a draw is probably the most likely result. The home team have accumulated seven draws already this campaign, while the Blades have only three, thougb they have gained more victories. With the Yorkshire side lying third in the table, you’d expect them to get at least a point here, though Bristol City are going to be a tough test.

2nd prediction for Bristol City vs Sheffield United – under 3.5 goals 21/100

This bet is aimed at Sheffield United in particular. The Blades have the league’s second best defence with only six goals conceded, though they aren’t particularly strong up front despite their good league position. They have yet to score more than twice in a league game this season, which you’d expect to continue at Ashton Gate on Tuesday night. Bristol City are slightly stronger going forward, but the context of this game means they might not hit the same heights. Sheffield United will sit deep and look for counter attacks, so Bristol City may have less luck than normal in attack.

3rd prediction for Bristol City vs Sheffield United – Sheffield United leading at half time 21/100

Sheffield United have made a habit of coming out of the traps quickly this season and if they do score, it’s likely to be in the first half. They’ve led at the break in eight of their 13 league games thus far, and generally tend to hang on for a victory. The home side, by contrast, have only had the lead once going into half time, with most of their victories as a result of second half performances. If this game goes as expected, you’d think the away side would grab an early goal before attempting to grind out a win on the road, with Bristol City attacking most of the end of the game to try and get something.

Full preview of the game: last results and head to head

These are two sides towards the top end of the table; Bristol City 8th and Sheffield United 3rd. It’s the home side in better form though, unbeaten in eight while Sheffield United have faltered, losing two of their last four. Bristol City’s upturn in form has come under difficult circumstances with boss Liam Manning taking leave after the death of his newborn son. His side still performed though, and Manning’s return to the dugout has seen the Robins take four points from two games. Their opponents have fallen away slightly recently, with two losses in the last four opening up a gap to the top two, which they’ll hope to close this midweek.

In this fixture’s past the Blades have had the upper hand, unbeaten in five with four wins. That being said this is a very strong Bristol City side and records are there to be broken, so it’s all to play for in this game.
