Middlesbrough goalscorer Emmanuel Latte Lath is the latest target for Wolverhampton Wanderers, Stuttgart and more according to TuttoMercatoWeb.
Boro managed another consistent finish in the 2023/24 campaign as they bounced back from a disappointing start. This followed a turbulent summer, where top scorer Chuba Akpom would depart for pastures new. The Englishman was the highlight of the squad before he left as he found the net 28 times, which earned him the Golden Boot and a move to Ajax.
As a result, the club needed to replace their talisman. Emmanuel Latte Lath would arrive from Atalanta and get off the mark immediately as he would go on to score 18 goals in all competitions. This resulted in the forward finishing the season in the top three percentile for non-penalty goals per 90 in the league at 0.69. Other centre-forward options include Josh Coburn, who scored five times whilst Marcus Forss also occasionally led the line and reached seven goals in the league.
Lath is now linked with a move away from the Teesside-based side. It is claimed that Wolves, Red Bull Salzburg, Stuttgart and Monaco have all shown an interest in the player.
The report also states that the most serious advances are coming from the French side, whilst Stuttgart are expected to firm up their interest if they can’t bring Denis Undav back to the club after his loan spell with Brighton & Hove Albion last season. Middlesbrough do hold the upper hand in any potential negotiations, with the striker under contract until 2027.
Boro are in the market for other potential attacking options. 22-year-old striker Tommy Conway has been linked with a move to the Riverside from Bristol City, although he is also wanted by a number of clubs. Furthermore, Manchester City forward Micah Hamilton is also a target.

Overall, if the 25-year-old does leave Middlesbrough, it could be costly for the upcoming season. Lath had a decent season but it took him time to become consistent. With another season he could improve again and help fire Michael Carrick’s team into promotion contention.
Whilst Boro is targeting new attackers like Conway and Hamilton, they may take time to adapt as they are young. Furthermore, with the new season just days away, the last thing they need right now is a battle to keep one of their first team stars.
