Blackburn Rovers are already looking to strengthen the squad ahead of the summer transfer window and have identified a possible free-agent signing, according to reports.
The Lancashire outfit have struggled for consistency this season and find themselves in an unwanted relegation battle late in the campaign, having failed to pick up a single victory under John Eustace since he replaced Jon Dahl Tomasson in the dugout.
Nevertheless, Tuesday night’s showing at Ewood Park against Premier League side Newcastle United in the FA Cup proved that the strugglers still have some fight left in them, taking the Magpies all the way during the game despite losing on penalties.

Having exited the cup competition in the cruellest circumstances, Blackburn Rovers can now turn their attention towards staying in England’s second tier as Eustace’s side are currently sitting four points above the relegation zone, with crucial fixtures against Swansea City, Millwall and Plymouth Argyle on the near horizon.
However, as per the latest reports, Rovers have already begun planning for the summer transfer window, despite the uncertainty surrounding the club’s status in the Championship.
According to The Sun, Blackburn are one of three clubs who are interested in signing Plymouth defender Brendan Galloway at the end of the season. The outlet are claiming that Middlesbrough and Coventry City are also in the race.
Galloway’s deal expires this summer, having spent the last three seasons at Home Park and there’s no sign of the two-cap Zimbabwe international penning a contract extension with the newly-promoted side.
The former Everton man has appeared 20 times in all competitions for the Pilgrims and currently boasts a market value of £300,000, as per Transfermarkt, with plenty of experience in the division under his belt.

Galloway has been a key squad player for Plymouth this season and was even more important last term as Steven Schumacher’s side lifted the League One title, having accumulated over 100 points with one of the best defensive records in the division.
However, with his contract expiring within a matter of months, the 27-year-old may already be looking at the future of his career and certainly will be enticed by the prospect of joining big clubs like Boro and Blackburn Rovers, although the latter need to ensure survival in the league to come out on top in the race.

Blackburn beat stoke since Jon Dahl left so stop saying they haven’t won a game
Hi Aaron,
Thanks for your comment.
I assume you are referring to the following paragraph:
“The Lancashire outfit have struggled for consistency this season and find themselves in an unwanted relegation battle late in the campaign, having failed to pick up a single victory under John Eustace since he replaced Jon Dahl Tomasson in the dugout.”
If so, John Eustace was not in charge for the match against Stoke. Although his appointment had been confirmed, he watched from the stands as Damien Johnson and David Lowe oversaw the fixture.
Kind Regards
