Leeds United head coach Daniel Farke has been handed a further incentive to guide the Yorkshire club back to the Premier League at the end of the current campaign, according to reports.
The Whites have been flying high in England’s second tier and are unbeaten in all competitions since the turn of the year. Furthermore, an emphatic 4-0 win over Swansea City on Tuesday night was Leeds’ seventh-straight victory in the Championship.

After a rocky start to the season, Farke has guided his team inside the automatic promotion spots with the second-best defensive record and the third-best attacking record in the league. A colossal top-of-the-table clash with Leicester City beckons next Friday.
The Leeds United board have been left incredibly impressed with the job Farke has done this season. As per Football Insider, the hierarchy are lining up a massive contract extension for the German at the end of the season, depending on whether or not the Yorkshire outfit earn promotion back to the top-flight.
The outlet are claiming that the German coach is set for a “big” pay rise should he win promotion to the Premier League for the third time in his coaching career, having achieved the feat twice with Norwich City, in 2019 and 2021.
Farke was handed a four-year deal at Elland Road upon taking the prestigious job last summer, although his current salary is not available to the general public, nor have Football Insider revealed how much extra the ex-Borussia Monchengladbach boss would receive should he take the Whites back to the promised land.

If this report is to be believed, Leeds United handing Farke a new bumper contract would be the club’s way of thanking the manager for taking the team from a difficult position and returning to the top tier.
However, it’s important that the board wait until a potential promotion actually happens, otherwise the club will be stuck paying a Premier League wage to a Championship manager.
