Millwall could see incoming offers for striker Tom Bradshaw in January as the Welsh international’s contract expires at the end of the 2023/24 campaign.
Bradshaw has been a key player for the Lions this season, making 24 appearances and scoring four goals in all competitions. The Welsh forward was also the top scorer for the South London club last season, hitting 16 goals in 42 matches.
The 31-year-old suffered a recent hamstring injury and was absent for Millwall’s 3-1 home defeat against Middlesbrough on Saturday. As a result, Bradshaw is expected to face a spell on the sidelines, with Lions boss Joe Edwards informing the South London Press that his frontman could be out for four to five weeks.
However, the injury setback is unlikely to put off rival clubs hoping to sign the Welsh striker, according to Darren Witcoop at the Sunday Mirror. Bradshaw’s extensive Championship experience would appeal to several clubs as the 31-year-old has notched over 250 appearances in the division since 2016.
The Lion’s forward also has a solid goalscoring record in the second tier, amassing 57 goals and 13 assists for Milwall and former club Barnsley. In addition, Bradshaw has international experience, having represented Wales eight times.
Bradshaw moved to South London from Barnsley in January 2019 for around £1 million, according to Transfermarkt. Currently, the striker’s market value is around £600,000, and other Championship clubs could be tempted to move for the 31-year-old, whose contract expires in June 2024.

Due to Bradshaw’s recent injury, rival Championship teams might be put off from submitting a bid during the January transfer window. This should give Millwall time to try and negotiate a deal with their key striker, and the South Londoners will be eager to keep their senior players as the rebuild under Edwards continues.
Ultimately, Bradshaw appears settled at the Den, and Millwall are likely to steer clear of relegation danger this season after picking up form recently. This could be a big negotiating factor to keep Bradshaw beyond this season.
