Speaking to BBC Radio Derby about re-signing the youngster for the second half of the season, the manager admitted that a deal was more than in the works.

“I believe it is all signed and delivered. He is staying until the end of the season, which is good because we are getting more game time out of him.”

“We still have to be really cautious with him but he had moments tonight where you can see why we want him at the football club,

“He will be a big part going forward.”

With the Rams currently sat in third in the League One table, just a singular point off of the top spot, Warne will be eyeing the automatic promotion places come the end of the campaign. The current form that Derby are in is one in which very few other teams in the league can match and as a result, they have shot up the League One table. After somewhat of a slow start, the Rams have been firing on all cylinders in recent weeks and the return of John-Jules from injury has played a part in that change of fortunes.
