Championship outfit Hull City made an impressive acquisition at the start of the week by signing highly-rated Liverpool star Fabio Carvalho on loan for the remainder of the campaign after he was recalled from RB Leipzig.
The Portuguese playmaker made his debut on Friday night as the Tigers were put to the sword at home against fellow promotion hopefuls Norwich City but showed glimpses of his quality on what was a rather cut-up pitch at the MKM Stadium.
Carvalho’s last experience in the Championship came during his time at Fulham in the 2021/22 campaign as the Cottagers were promoted back to the Premier League at the first time of asking under head coach Marco Silva.
As a teenager, he bagged 10 goals and recorded six assists in the league in just 36 appearances before making a £5 million move to English giants Liverpool at the end of the season but the 21-year-old is now back in England’s second tier and will play under Liam Rosenior for the next half-season.
However, with one player being added to the attacking department, Hull City must make room by offloading another. Speaking to Hull Live after Friday’s defeat to the Canaries at home, head coach Rosenior admitted that Allahyar Sayyadmanesh is close to leaving the club on loan [quotes via Football League World]
“Ally is close to going out on loan. We’ve agreed a loan deal with another club. I think Ally needs regular football to find his confidence again and get regular games. We’re looking to do some work in his position in the transfer window.”

In total, Sayyadmanesh has been on the pitch for just 135 minutes in a Hull City shirt this season, spread across six appearances in all competitions which comes to roughly 23 minutes per game. Of course, this is far from ideal for a young player.
Given Rosenior admitted that the club are hoping to add more firepower to the frontline, it seems like the best solution for all parties is to send the 22-year-old out on loan or sell him on a permanent basis.
