Norwich City will resist any offers for attacker Jon Rowe next month as interest from the Premier League begins to mount, according to The Sun.
The 20-year-old is enjoying his breakthrough season at Carrow Road and his brace against bitter rivals Ipswich Town on Saturday took his season tally up to 11. Operating mainly from the flanks, his 10 Championship strikes mean that only two players in the division have scored more, with Sam Szmodic’s of Blackburn Rovers hitting 14 whilst Southampton’s Adam Armstrong has 12.
Rowe rose through the ranks at Norwich, making his debut in 2021 against Crystal Palace. He went on to make a further 12 Premier League appearances before the Canaries were relegated. The England under-21 international endured an injury-hit campaign last season but returned to the squad in April.
Wolverhampton Wanderers were keen on acquiring the youngster’s services in the summer following his breathtaking start to this season and saw a £15 million bid rejected in August. The West Midlands outfit are expected to return to the fray in January, where they are expected to be joined by neighbours Aston Villa.

Norwich will reject any advances though and will not allow Rowe to leave until at least the end of the season. The East Anglian outfit see their academy graduate as a key component of their squad, especially as they are targeting a play-off spot and a return to the top tier themselves. The club hold the upper hand, with their player under contract until 2025.
Their recent form has been a far cry from that seen in the early months of the season. Manager David Wagner appeared to be on the brink of losing his job as Norwich languished near the relegation places but have recovered in recent weeks to move into 10th. They are just five points behind sixth-placed Hull City and host relegation threatened Huddersfield Town on Saturday.

Jon Rowe is a player who looks destined for the Premier League and reports of interest from various clubs in the top tier have been rife for several weeks. It’s not a surprise to learn that Norwich will rebuff any attempts for his signature in January, despite the possibility of receiving a healthy sum.
That is unlikely to change by the summer though, and the Canaries can expect to receive a windfall regardless of the situation. Either they earn promotion to the Premier League and the big bucks that come with it, or they remain in the Championship and cash in on their prized asset.
