Sky Sports pundit and former Leeds United man David Prutton has predicted a share of the spoils this weekend as Leicester City travel up north to face Middlesbrough.
The Foxes will be disappointed to have not extended their lead at the top of the Championship last Friday after losing at home to Leeds United, following a second-half strike from Georginio Rutter.
Ipswich Town dropped points away at Birmingham City and Rotherham United over the past seven days so a win against Daniel Farke’s side at the King Power Stadium would have put the former Premier League champions six clear of Kieran McKenna’s Tractor Boys.
This weekend, Leeds host newly-promoted Plymouth Argyle at Elland Road while Ipswich face Swansea City at home. Both teams head into their fixtures as the favourites to win, leaving Leicester’s game away at Boro even more important.
Michael Carrick’s men have picked up just one point from the last six available but are tricky customers at the Riverside Stadium. In fact, Sky Sports pundit David Prutton has predicted the Foxes to struggle.
In his pre-match predictions column, Prutton has forecasted a 1-1 draw and explained why:
“That was some topsy-turvy clash for Middlesbrough at Plymouth last week, at the end of some week of journeying for them and their fans, having been down to Exeter a few days before. They will have been glad of a few days to recover I’m sure.
“And they may need it as Leicester are in town. After their last defeat this season they went on to win nine in a row. But I think they may face another slight bump at the Riverside Stadium.”

This could be another banana skin game for Leicester City as Boro are an excellent team when all the players are playing well collectively so a draw is certainly not outside the realm of possibility.
However, the Foxes have enough credit in the bank to slip up a couple of times over the course of the season and still be favourites to lift the title in May.
