Championship outfit Hull City have offered head coach Liam Rosenior a new and improved contract to stay at the MKM Stadium, amid interest from suitors, according to reports.
The Tigers are sitting ninth in the second tier this season and are one of just two clubs to have put high-flying Leicester City to the sword in the league, alongside third-place Leeds United.
The 39-year-old has been in charge of the Humberside club for a little over one year, having replaced interim head coach Andy Dawson in November 2022. Rosenior currently boasts a 31.1 percent win record with Hull, having lost just 26.7 percent of his games in charge.
Journalist Sam Wallace from The Telegraph is reporting that Hull City’s owners have been left impressed with Rosenior’s impact on the team over the past twelve months and are hoping to tie the young coach down to a new deal.
Rosenior’s current contract runs until 2025 with the option to extend his stay by a further year, but Wallace has also revealed that the manager has suitors, although the report has not stated who exactly are interested in the former Derby County boss.
A large number of clubs have sacked managers in recent weeks, from Birmingham City to Bristol City to Queens Park Rangers, among others. There is also a strong possibility that Norwich City’s head coach position will be vacant when the Canaries return from their trip to Cardiff City on Saturday.

It’s a smart move from Hull City to tie Rosenior’s future down at the club. Liam Manning’s appointment at Bristol City has given a reality check to some clubs who feel as though their highly sought-after coaches will stick out their contracts.
Rosenior is one of the best coaches in England’s second tier so it’s not a surprise that the board are acting swiftly to ensure that he sticks around for a little while longer.
