Liverpool youngster Bobby Clark is awaiting the approval of a loan move to League One side Derby County, reports the Liverpool Echo.
The 18-year-old is set to be rewarded with a new five-year deal with the Reds before securing a temporary switch away from Anfield.
It is understood a season-long loan move has been discussed between the two clubs, with the Premier League side keen to insert a recall clause for the January transfer window in any potential deal.
Reports suggest Clark has received a number of offers from clubs in the Championship, but he appears to have favoured a move to the East Midlands.
Rams boss Paul Warne must now play the waiting game for his counterpart Jurgen Klopp to sanction the deal.
The England U18 international is highly thought of on Merseyside, as he impressed in pre-season tours in Germany and Singapore this summer.
Klopp has already highlighted the Epsom-born midfielder as an ‘interesting player’, and regardless of whether a loan deal is agreed by Friday’s deadline, Clark is set to sign his second professional contract after signing a first shortly after his 17th birthday.
The former Birmingham City and Newcastle United youth prospect has made two senior appearances for the Reds, which included making his first senior start against his potential suitors in the third round of the Carabao Cup in November 2022.
He also has one Premier League appearance to his name, but opportunities to feature in the top flight this season may be few and far between despite a midfield clear out this summer.
Alongside Clark, Tyler Morton and Luke Chambers are also reportedly attracting interest from clubs across the English Football League.

Bobby Clark is one for the future, and the commitment to hand him a new five-year deal shows how highly regarded he is at the Premier League giants.
I’m sure some assurances over game time will have been a key factor in choosing Derby County over a whole host of Championship clubs, with the option of a recall clause in January also suggesting that the Reds may want to move him up to the second tier for the second half of the season.
