Blackpool are set to complete a move for Sutton United forward Kylian Kouassi, as revealed by Football League World.
The Seasiders have reportedly agreed a deal with the League Two outfit as they look to move on without Jerry Yates in League One. Yates completed a move to Championship side Swansea City earlier in the transfer window, with Kyle Joseph joining the squad at Bloomfield Road as part of that deal.
Kouassi has featured regularly in the first team for Sutton United, having loan spells before that in the non-league section of the football pyramid. The forward had two loan spells in total with non-league sides Chesham and Hampton & Richmond Borough. Since breaking out into the first team ranks, the 20-year-old has made 46 appearances, scoring four goals and assisting twice in that time, which seems to have gained the attention of the Seasiders, who are looking to add more firepower.
Blackpool have been busy in the transfer market but are keen to add more firepower, with Yates being their top goalscorer in two of their last three seasons. The club have made seven permanent signings this transfer window, Kyle Joseph being the only attacker they have brought in. Neil Critchley also delved into the loan market for new signings, securing highly rated midfielder Jensen Weir on loan from Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion.
The busy transfer activity comes from the club’s desire to earn promotion back to the Championship following their relegation from the second tier last season.

While Kouassi has only been playing senior football for a short time, he appears to be rated by the League One club. At such a young age, he could be one for the future. However, he may struggle with the third tier, and I do not see this as a replacement for Jerry Yates.
