Vanarama National League Preview: Gameweek 3

The first midweek round of fixtures in the Vanarama National League start tonight, with only three teams looking to maintain their perfect start to the season.

Chesterfield, Barnet and Southend United are all on maximum points after impressive starts to their seasons while York City, Dorking Wanderers, Oxford City and Bromley are looking to pick up their first points of the campaign.

Woking host newly-relegated Rochdale as the latter look to secure back-to-back victories after a 1-0 win over Oxford last time out.

Oldham Athletic dominated Aldershot Town in a deserved 5-1 win at the weekend but it wasn’t an ideal start to the season for David Unsworth’s side. They fell to a 4-0 defeat to Southend United on the opening day but remain one of the favourites for the title. They take on FC Halifax Town.

Bromley and Wealdstone lock horns at Hayes Lane in a London derby while Barnet, who beat the Ravens on Saturday, head to Hampshire to face Eastleigh.

Dagenham & Redbridge will be hoping to win their first game of the season after a disappointing display against Southend. Gateshead, also yet to pick up a win, head to the Chigwell Construction Stadium.

Chesterfield make the trip to Oxford, AFC Fylde take on Kidderminster Harriers and Ebbsfleet United host Aldershot.

Two sides unbeaten so far, Boreham Wood and Solihull Moors, face off at Meadow Park.

Southend will be favourites heading into their encounter with Dorking Wanderers after an excellent start to their season.

York, who have recruited well this summer, take on Altrincham while promotion-chasing Hartlepool United play Alan Devonshire’s Maidenhead United.
