Sunderland winger Jack Clarke is the subject of interest to a number of Premier League clubs, as a trio from the top flight have reportedly submitted bids for the former Tottenham Hotspur man, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Romano goes on to state he understands that Burnley, Brentford and Crystal Palace have all submitted bids for the 22-year-old, but the Black Cats are hopeful of tying the star down to a new deal at Wearside. The club featured in the playoffs last season after finishing in the top six but lost in the semi-finals to Luton Town, who won the final also to earn promotion to the top flight.
Clarke has rediscovered his form from his time with Leeds United which saw him earn a move to Tottenham Hotspur for around £11 million and has been enjoying life in the Championship. Clarke spent a season on loan with Sunderland from Tottenham before making the move permanent last summer. This season, he has featured 45 times for the Black Cats, scoring nine goals and notching 11 assists, giving him a goal return every other game.
Given the importance of his role in the club finishing in the playoff places, Sunderland are reportedly eager to keep the star on their books and a new deal has been placed on the table for him to sign, but with so many Premier League clubs entering bids for the winger, it may be tough for the North-East club to hold on to their star.
The side has already been linked with moves in the transfer window to strengthen their side, Jude Bellingham may be the subject of a transfer saga internationally, but his brother Jobe is also involved in one as it is believed he is close to joining Sunderland as he is reportedly set for a medical with the Black Cats. And Ivorian winger Amad Diallo is repeatedly linked with a second loan switch to the North-East after he enjoyed an extremely successful spell with the club from Premier League giants Manchester United. Many fans have expressed they would to see the Ivorian return and he has opened himself up to the idea, however, experienced defender Rio Ferdinand has admitted he would love to see the winger given a chance at United next season and that could dent their hopes of a return for the 20-year-old.

Clarke is a talented winger and has risen to prominence this season with some fantastic form, he has become a key part of the Sunderland team and they will be hoping they can hold on to him as they look to begin another promotion push next season. With that being said a move to the Premier League is always a tempting offer for a player and he may find it difficult to resist the call should it come.
