Fromer Lincoln City defender Tayo Edun may be leaving Blackburn Rovers after struggling for game time this summer, according to Lancashire Live.
The talented left back is already attracting attention, as Blackburn look to generate revenue to build for another promotion push, after narrowly missing out on the play-off places in the Championship.
Who is Tayo Edun?
Tayo Edun is a 25 year old left back who started his career at Fulham, the youngster broke through the ranks and to earn himself a loan move to Ipswich, before Lincoln City signed the left back where he played 52 games for the Imps.
This resulted in big move to Championship side Blackburn rovers for around £500,000. However, the former Fulham youth player has struggled for game time at Rovers and will now be potentially moved on permanently with clubs already interested.

Attracting Interest
Edun’s planned loan move to Charlton broke down during last season due to an Injury to Callum Brittian. Despite being kept on, Edun only managed 190 minutes with the Lancashire based side and provided one assist.
It’s rumoured that Charlton may rekindle their wish for the left back but also Cardiff may be involved. If Blackburn were to release Edun they would only be with one recognised left back as Harry Pickering will be their preferred man this season.
Writer’s view
Tayo Edun will not struggle to find a new club to show his talent at, although it’s not clear wether it will be a loan or a permanent deal, Edun will want to kick on with his next move.
The left back is 25 now so will want a long run at his next opportunity, as he did so successful with Lincoln. Personally, I believe Tayo Edun could have a decent run with a club like Cardiff or another Championship side.
In my opinion, if the move to a Championship side didn’t come to fruition, a club like Charlton could be perfect, familiar with the area and league. Tayo Edun could make a huge impact on a League One promotion push, therefore rising his stock for a chance to play higher in the near future.
