Host Of Clubs Eyeing Up AFC Wimbledon Forward

AFC Wimbledon striker Zach Robinson is attracting interest from numerous clubs in higher divisions, according to South London Press.

Currently on loan at Scottish Championship side Dundee, the 20-year-old is being tracked by Reading, Blackpool, Hull and Bolton, with Dundee also interested in extending the talented forward’s stay in Scotland.

Who Is Zach Robinson?

Robinson is in his first full season of professional football and has hit the scene early with 12 goals and five assists in 32 appearances for the Dee. After multiple loan spells in non-league, the striker finally got his chance in the Scottish Championship and has teams oozing over his potential.

The Next Step

After putting his name on the map, Robinson will have a busy summer ahead with the interest in him. With one year remaining on his contract at the Dons, staying with the club he’s been at since 14 may still be an option.

However, now that teams in the Championship and League One are on his radar, the player may be able to get a say on where he will be playing next season.

First Season Of Many?

Robinson has endured a few loan spells before his one in Scotland, however, this season has been his most successful. Prior to this year, Robinson played for six different clubs in four seasons, so the lack of stability may have played a part in his lacklustre performances.

Now that he had a full season at a club, the youngster has proven to be one of the better players in the division, helping Dundee to a potential title and promotion back to the Premiership.

Writer’s View

For the time being, we will assume Robinson returns to Wimbledon from his loan in Scotland. The striker has finally hit the ground running during this campaign, and the Dons could definitely use a player of his ability next season.

However, the fact Robinson has one year left on his contract means he could force a move if he wanted to. His value will be at a high after the year he has had, so if he does deem that there are better career options for him, a move could work for all parties.
