Perhaps one of the biggest games in recent Vanarama National League history, Wrexham and Notts County meet at the Racecourse Ground in what could be a season-defining encounter.
The two teams are level on points but Notts are currently top on goal difference, having played a game more.
The Form
Wrexham come into this fixture following a surprise 3-1 defeat to FC Halifax Town on Good Friday. Despite Elliot Lee’s opener, a Millenic Alli brace and Emmanuel Dieseruvwe’s goal ensured the Shaymen took the three points.
That was their first defeat since the beginning of October and it put another twist in the tale of this intriguing title race. Before Wrexham’s defeat to Halifax, they were on a superb run of six wins in a row and they will need to bounce back today with the visit of the Magpies.
Luke Williams’ side meanwhile were victors in their last outing, dominating Wealdstone in a 3-0 victory at Meadow Lane. In that win, Macaulay Langstaff broke the National League record of goals scored in a season and he will certainly be a threat to the Wrexham backline this afternoon.
Notts are on a very good run of form and especially away from home. They have picked up 48 points from 21 games on their travels with their last defeat coming to Dorking Wanderers in September. Before their defeat to Dagenham & Redbridge in February, the Magpies went on a 25-game unbeaten run – showing they are deservedly challenging in the higher echelons of the table.

Wrexham have no new fresh injury concerns heading into this crunch clash, although Rob Lainton remains sidelined until the end of the season.
For Notts County, Cedwyn Scott could return to proceedings and so could duo Ruben Rodrigues and Sam Slocombe.
