“It’s Literally At The Point Where I Don’t Care Anymore” – These Crawley Town Fans React To Tranmere Defeat

Supporters of Crawley Town were once again left frustrated yesterday evening. This time, following a 1-0 defeat on the road to Tranmere Rovers at Prenton Park, with the club’s chances of survival continuing to decrease with their disasterous form.

Despite the Red Devils seemingly having more of the ball and the better of the chances throughout the game, it was Micky Mellon’s side who broke the deadlock, as a ball into the box from Josh Hawkes found Jordan Turnbull, with the defender finishing smartly past Corey Addai from 12 yards.

In need of a response following the club’s heavy 5-2 defeat at home to promotion-chasing Carlisle United on Saturday, Scott Lindsey’s side were however given a lifeline to level the scores with 10 minutes left to play as referee Craig Hicks pointed to the penalty spot after defender Joel Lynch was hacked down inside the box following a challenge from

That gave Dom Telford, League Two’s top goalscorer last season with Newport County, the opportunity to tuck away his 11th goal of the season in all competitions for the club, but the striker could only blaze his spot kick over the crossbar as the home side held out to claim victory.

The defeat for Crawley means they remain in the League Two relegation zone having lost their last four games in the league, with the club sitting two points behind Hartlepool United in 22nd having played three games less than John Askey’s side.

The defeat on the road also means the club are also yet to taste victory away from home this season after 16 away fixtures, having drawn six and losing the other ten.

Following the final whistle, let’s take a look as to how some Crawley fans reacted to the club’s latest league defeat…

Following the weekend where Crawley were simply decimated by Carlisle United with the away side winning 5-2, they desperately needed a performance and a response to come back from such a heavy defeat and although the performance seemed better, they have once again come out of a game with nothing.

In the situation that Crawley currently find themselves in, they need to start picking up some results as soon as possible. The saving grace that the club has compared to Hartlepool is that they have three games in hand over them, however, those games in hand mean nothing if they’re going to continue losing games, especially in the manner that the club have been losing.

It’s no doubt Crawley’s last 15 games of the season are absolutely huge if they want to retain their football league status.
